Nicole Brune is a former model, turned traditional artist who has been bringing a new and different take on characters for over 15 years. Her pinup style immediately got the attention of fans who refer to her as “the next Olivia”. It’s not surprising since every major pin-up artist has taken her under their respected wings critiquing her work over the years. These include Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Dave Nestler, Lorenzo Sperlonga and Olivia De Berardinis. As the world turns digital, because of the intricate detail of her oil paintings and pencil work, she is becoming the artist’s artist. Combined with her beauty on and off camera, as well as her friendliness and approachability, her fan base continues to grow exponentially! Some of her most notable pieces have included stunning mermaids, her 5-part oil painted Fetish in Wonderland series, and her new takes on pop culture characters from the realms of sci-fi, fantasy, and comic books, including Lady Death. Her work with comic and pop culture characters is making Nicole a growing Comic Con fan favorite. Nicole’s works have been seen in multiple magazines, gallery showings, as well as Married to Rock on E!, PlayboyTV, G4TV, and more. Her work has been licensed for use on drumsticks, guitar picks, guitars, boats, shirts, vintage metal signs, stickers, posters, sold-out Limited Editions, and you may have even seen her art on tour with Billy Idol and Steve Stevens. She has designed tattoos applied by Kat Von D, and cosplayers are making outfits based on her unique takes on existing characters. For the last few years, she has taken a hiatus from pop culture and conventions as she has been creating mermaids for clothing designs in South Florida. She has just recently decided to reenter the world of comic books again and see her fans at conventions.
